The Tavistock Cup returns to Lake Nona Golf & Country Club this spring showcasing the top touring professional members of Albany, Isleworth Golf & Country Club, Lake Nona and Queenwood Golf Club. The ninth annual Tavistock Cup, which takes place March 19 and 20, is an officially sanctioned PGA TOUR event recognized by many as the World Golf and Country Club Championship.
On the PGA Tour this week is the Tavistock Cup, which happens at the Lake Nona Golf & Country Club in Orlando, Florida. There is a $2,170,000 purse up for grabs, and it happens from the 19th of March to the 20th. The winner will walk away from this tournament with an $800,000 prize. After that event, the Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by Mastercard will be held at the Bay Hill Club and Lodge in Orlando, and then the Shell Houston Open is March 29th to April 1st at the Redstone Golf Club Tournament Course in Humble, Texas.
Team Albany's roster includes Ernie Els, Tim Clark Trevor Immelman and Tiger Woods while some of the players on Team Lake Nona are Ben Curtis, Ross Fisher, Graeme McDowell and Retief Goosen.
